Kailin Che – Of Counsel
Kailin is a highly experienced, California-licensed media lawyer focused on transactional matters and content review, related to entertainment, media, advertising and technology. Kailin represents producers, artists, creators, media companies, and distributors in negotiating agreements in connection with the development, financing, licensing, production and distribution of film, television, music and commercial projects. In addition, Kailin advises emerging entertainment and technology companies at various stages of their development — from inception, financing, and restructuring, to mergers and acquisitions. Kailin also serves as a legal advisor to talent, high-net worth investors, corporations and multi-family offices in navigating employment-based and investment-based migration options and immigration strategies in North America and abroad. As a lawyer licensed in both the U.S. and Canada, Kailin has experience in representing clients in cross-border business transactions as well as dispute resolution and litigation management. She is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California (Los Angeles).
Additionally, as a former competitive pianist with an Associate Diploma in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, Kailin is a passionate advocate of arts and culture. Kailin is active in supporting her community outside of her legal practice. She served for numerous years as a community board member for Cascade Public Media (owner of KCTS Television and Crosscut) and helped grow one of the largest chapters in North America as the co-director of Founder Institute, one of the leading accelerators in the world for early-stage technology companies.
